Dignity

Federal prosecutor Leo Ramirez is tasked with arresting Paul Schaefer, the leader of German cult 'Colonia Dignidad' in Southern Chile, on child abuse charges. Leo grew up in Colonia, but left when his brother died 20 years ago.

Leo takes Klaus to his sister Carmen's house. He is initially unsure if he can trust Klaus but a shared memory proves Klaus is his brother. Leo and Pamela discover that Hausmann forged Pedro's death certificate.

Once recaptured, Anke attempts suicide. She comes round in hospital, and is drugged by Hausmann. Klaus can't bring himself to shoot Leo, and resorts to punishing himself instead.

The settlers give Klaus an ultimatum: if he won't shoot Leo, Anke will die. Hausmann denies everything in his interrogation and when it's discovered the evidence is gone, he is free to leave.

Leo, Carmen and Klaus escape the fire. Pamela takes them in while the crime scene is investigated. Back in Santiago, Caro and her colleague Hannelore discover the businessman is arms dealer Gerhard Mertins.

The buried cars are found to belong to missing dissidents of the Pinochet regime, tortured and killed at the colony. Caro informs Leo of the arms deals and asks him to look for additional shipments.
