The Grand Banks off the coast of Newfoundland have been contested waters for hundreds of years, as the earliest cod fishermen build a thriving fishing industry; Brett and Cliff take on the North Atlantic as they try their hand at cod fishing.

During prohibition, men would regularly risk their lives to transport the goods; with the Great Lakes as the backdrop for this endeavour many men were lost; Brett and Cliff try their hands at bootlegging.

As pioneers settled North America, many ventured to find their own piece of paradise in the remote wilderness; homesteaders aim was to build a home for their families to grow and flourish; Brett and Cliff are determined they have what it takes.

Brett and Cliff aim to put themselves through the experience of losing one's ship and needing to be rescued.
