Ever Night

Through mysterious circumstances, Ning Que travels through time and space to the Great Tang, where martial arts and spiritual cultivation are widely practiced. Initially, Ning Que plans to live an easy, luxurious life, but he soon realizes that without any cultivation abilities, he's unable to make a living. Worse still, Ning Que's past comes back to haunt him – after witnessing his entire family's slaughter when he was just four years old, he was forced to flee from evildoers who wanted him dead. During one harrowing escape, he stumbles across an infant girl and a mysterious black umbrella amidst a pile of dead bodies and decides to raise her. Naming her Sang Sang, Ning Que begins his new quest for success and revenge with a newfound reason to live. This animated series was based on the novel "Jiang Ye" by Mao Ni.
