Snowboarders Jessa Gilbert and Maria Thomsen defy the rules to pursue snowboarding, art, and motherhood on their own terms. Cold water surfers Sanoa Olin and Hanna Scott both challenge the stereotypes of surfing and bring creativity and different landscapes into play paving a new path. Each of these characters are overcoming the stereotypes of what they thought they were supposed to be.

Snowboarder Marie-France Roy and Leah Dawson collaborate with young zero waste activist Irie Smith and Art Activist Hannah Eddy to show us the many forms of environmental and social justice activism that can take form. This episode is about doing what you can with what you have, and the importance of fighting for a better future. We explore how these characters become agents of change to speak up against environmental degradation and social injustice.

Snowboard Olympian Spencer O’Brien and Hawaiian Surfer Mainei Kinimaka take us to their traditional territories to contrast a heritage broken in Indigenous Canada versus a heritage preserved in Polynesian Hawaii. Spencer looks for guidance in Sandy Ward and Rose Archie to find her voice as an indigenous leader. Mainei looks to her ancestry to carry their voices and stories into the future in an effort to advocate for the land and the people. This episode is about embracing cultural identity and heritage, and looking to the voices that came before us to find a better way forward.

Kristin Ebeling, Snowboarder Leanne Pelosi, and BIPOC Surf crew Textured Waves take us through their journey’s to creating space and visibility for others and the legacies they are building in their respective sports. Young skater and snowboarder Juliette Pelchat is just starting her own movement giving us a full picture of what the legacies built have given the youth of today. This episode is about visibility and creating opportunity for others to participate.
