In Tokyo, a beheaded corpse with an impossibly sharp cut and no blood catches the attention of ambitious news reporter Mio Sanjo (Mai Fukagawa). She witnesses a mysterious black dust emerging from the wound, which only she can see. Two enigmatic men, Kakeru Osagami (Taichi Saotome) and Sho Iotsu (Yuya Endo), share her ability to perceive this strange phenomenon. Kakeru, a "blade master," is on a dangerous mission to hunt down "filth blades" - swords forged from human evil that can corrupt their wielders. With each blade he neutralizes, Kakeru absorbs some of the "filth," risking his own soul in the process. As he continues his quest, the question remains: can he eliminate all the blades before the darkness consumes him?
