Newly-appointed magistrate Lu Jiang Lai (Hou Ming Hao) is making a name for himself by solving crimes... until he's unexpectedly framed for a cold-case murder. Left for dead and without his memories, he's rescued by Rong Shan Bao (Gulnezer Bextiyar), the shrewd daughter of a renowned tea cultivator. She conceals his true identity and allows him to work as the family's stable boy, in part to get revenge due to a previous dispute between Jiang Lai and her family. However, when Shan Bao's family tries to find her a husband, Jiang Lai is unexpectedly drawn into Shan Bao's fierce struggle for power. Can Jiang Lai and Shan Bao find a way to help each other out – and will their constant battle of wits lead to something more?
