Hope or Dope

Kyung Da Jung (Won Ji An), an 18-year-old high school student, is forced by her ruthless mother to work as a drug mule, transporting narcotics for dangerous gangs under constant threat of violence. After a drug deal goes wrong, she escapes to a rural South Korean village, where she discovers a hidden marijuana field that could be her ticket to financial freedom. There, she encounters Gong Yoon Tak (Yoon Chan Young), an ordinary high schooler, and his community. As Da Jung contemplates her next move, her dangerous past begins to catch up with her, drawing Yoon Tak and his circle into her turbulent world of crime and survival. Police investigators and underworld figures start to converge, creating a tense and unpredictable situation. This is a 2022 South Korean drama series directed by Jo Yong Ik.
