Lost City Of The Jungle

After a new radioactive element is found in Pendrang that acts as a defense against the atomic bomb, warmongers search for it in secret. Luckily, United Peace Foundation operative Rod Stanton is hot on their trail.

A plane piloted by Tal Shan (keye Luke), Pendrang native, locates the stranded Rod Stanton and Marjorie Elmore and the two are taken to Zalabar, capitol of Pendrang. Guided by a tip that two of Sir Eric's henchmen plan to dynamite the Sacred Pool in search of the Lost City, Rod and Tal Shan are swept to the lake's bottom as it is suddenly blasted.

Rod Stanton dives into the dynamited pool of Light and rescues Tal Shan from drowning. Dr. Elmore, his daughter, Marjorie, and his assistant, Grebb, visit the scene in search of the Lost City. During the search, Dr. Elmore finds a tablet, bearing the hieroglyphics of the Glowing Goddess.

Efforts to destroy Rod Stanton and Tal Shan in the Pendrang temple fail, as the pair flee at the first rumblings of the explosion. Rod returns to Sir Eric's headquarters and finds fingerprints of the archfiend. Sir Eric, incensed over Stanton's escape from the Pendrang Temple trap, informs the natives that the investigator destroyed their sacred shrine.

Rod Stanton is rescued from the lion's pit by his assistant Tal Shan. Discovering that a mysterious individual posing as Geoffrey London, is actually Sir Eric Hazarias, a warmonger, Rod informs Dr. Elmore who threatens to quit.

Sir Eric believes that Rod Stanton has been tossed into the blazing pit. Stanton's fall, however, is broken by a ledge where he discovers a tablet bearing mysterious hieroglyphics. Translated by Dr. Elmore, the hieroglyphics lead the way to the Tomb of the Glowing Goddess. Trapped in the tomb, Stanton is overcome by poisonous vapors.
