Make up With Mud

Miku Yuzuhara (Hikaru Takahashi), a department store receptionist, lacks self-confidence, instead conforming to the preferences of her elite lawyer boyfriend Haruhisa Yukii (Sho Nishigaki) – including keeping her makeup minimal and understated the way he likes it. But when she meets Eve Takakura (Keito Kimura), a makeup enthusiast who follows his own heart without fear of judgement, her outlook on life totally changes. With Eve's help, Miku tries on red lipstick for the first time, unlocking inner beauty she hadn't felt before. Unfortunately, Haru doesn't feel the same way about Miku's new look, revealing previously-hidden controlling and abusive tendencies. Will Miku's newfound inner strength help her confront Haru and find her own voice? This drama was adapted from the manga of the same name by Yosikazu.
