Michael Waltrip Racing: A New Era

Michael Waltrip takes the first steps toward starting his own race team. He begins a partnership with NASCAR newcomer Toyota, and he will also build a new race facility, hire two drivers and secure sponsorship.

This exploration follows some of the people responsible for this crazy endeavor at Toyota and their Racing Development division as building of the cars continues. In addition, testing begins on one of the completed cars.

Daytona -- the first race in the season -- is looming on the horizon as the team continues to build and test cars. Toyota Racing Development is putting in all the support they can to give MWR the best engines possible.

It's Thanksgiving time, but MWR still has a lot of work to do before they can be thankful for anything. Work continues on the Racing Experience location, but Dale Jarrett is having problems with an injury and will need surgery.
