After her real parents' death, Girija now lives with stepfather Dattu and brother Monu. Strong at heart, she breaks down when Dattu disowns her and hurls insults.

Rudra Pratap rescues Girija and Monu from a raging fire. Later, Girija thanks the Goddess for saving her life, while Rudra Pratap hopes to see her again.

Nageshwar joins the priest to perform the ritual for the purification of sins. Meanwhile, Vasanti carries out the ancestral worship ceremony for Girija's deceased parents.
