Mad Mike heads to the Ebisu track in Nihomatsu, Japan. The Ebisu Circuit is the ultimate place to test drifting skills in the Formula DRIFT Japan 2017 series.

A myriad of weather conditions made the track impossibly slippery for the drivers. Despite claiming wins in Top32, Top16 and Great 8, ‘Mad’ Mike couldn’t hold on in his battle against Masashi Yokoi, who advanced through to the finals.

It was a slow start this year when car problems at Suzuka meant no points for Made Mike, but the team has steadily built momentum. With a win at Okuibuki they find themselves back in the championship hunt, a place they definitely relish being in.

Nerves were high leading into the battle as Mad Mike saw several of his fellow drivers, who were in the championship hunt get knocked out in previous battles. With the constant rainfall making tough racing conditions, Mad Mike had some difficulties.
