No Ordinary Women

In this episode, we are introduced to Sophie, Annie, Liz, Sam, and Carolijn – the first five women to get a contract with Team SCA. These amazing women are about to realize their dreams, they will race in the next Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15.

In this episode, we learn more about the dangers that face the girls when they are out sailing and we also learn more about the physical challenges they face. Meanwhile, the tests and trials continue and for some of the girls, their journey will end.

In this episode, the team is struck by tragedy as one of the coaches is rushed to the hospital. Despite their grief, they return to their training and a new team of girls arrive. The new arrivals are setting the team back and they realize that they have a long way to go.

In this episode the team is prepping for their first real race; Fastnet in the UK. So the team head out for a long sail to deliver the boat in time for the race. This race is a chance for them to show what they can really do. Question is: who will make the Fastnet-team?
