Nurse Lea

Lea is a specialised nurse who, after a period of leave, returns to work in the paediatric department of the Ferrara hospital, where her ex-husband Marco also comes back to become the new head. While working alongside Marco is a constant reminder of what was and what could have been, Lea's future may take the form of Arturo.

Lea is close to Koljia, a Russian child recently adopted by a couple from Ferrara, whose parents, however, collapsed at the news of his serious illness and left him alone. Then she also takes heart in the case of Mattia, a newborn with a serious cardiorespiratory condition. Lea asks Arturo to help her trace the infant's biological father to carry out tests.

Martina's birthday is approaching and she is waiting for her mother for the party. Encouraged by Lea, Arturo confesses the truth to his daughter, which the little girl takes very badly. Meanwhile, a social worker announces that Koljia's parents have given up on the adoption and that the child will be sent back to an orphanage in Russia...

Anna confronts Lea, releasing all her anger on her. Lea, in turn, confronts Marco: does she really think they could get back together? Martina has returned to the hospital with Arturo to remove the cast from his arm and Marco realises that the musician is a serious obstacle to his plans. Meanwhile, Viola Parisi, a 13-year-old girl used to frequent hospitalisations, arrives in the ward...

Lea's lawyer informs her that the country house she and Marco bought before their divorce has finally found buyers, but Marco refuses to sell it. And when the two meet at the country house and share a moment of intense closeness, even Lea realises she no longer wants to sell the house. Perhaps her story with Marco is not completely over?

Marco suggests to Lea that they apply for Kolia's custody together, reigniting in her the desire to start a family. Meanwhile, a tumour is discovered in Kolia's leg and Marco is forced to make a decision about it.
