Of Knights and Arrows

After WWII Britain seeks to enter the race between the U.S. and the Soviet Union for a missile-delivered atomic weapon. "Black Knight" is a bold effort for a nation with limited resources and it is closer to the Russian Target.

The final British attempt at some autonomy in the Space Race comes with Black Arrow which is built on the Isle of White but launches from the Australian Desert. Despite efforts from the U.S. and Britain to stop the project it finally delivers a satellite.
