On the Hook

Jeremy Mattingly kicks off On The Hook at a special place for him and his family. He bobber-fishes with Jeff Guttermuth, a man who overcame cancer and paralysis to enjoy a new outlook on life.

Jeremy takes On The Hook to Lake Fork, Texas to fish with an angler he's looked up to and learned from, but has never met, Fishin' Kennieth Pierce.

Jeremy shares his boat and his love of crappie fishing with another tournament champion, Kyler Beckmann, who unexpectedly lost his father and fishing partner, Shannon Beckmann, in May 2021. Truman Lake was their home lake.

Jeremy travels to Farmerville, Louisiana to meet up with Jason Thomas, whose passion is to teach people, and introduce new anglers to the sport of Crappie Fishing!

Jeremy meets up with a southern Illinois fishing guide, Shiloh Shoppell, to tame Rend Lake the day after a huge rainstorm. They decide to go old-fashioned, spider-rigging, looking for eaters.

Jeremy heads north to Ohio's corn country with Codie Deaton to fish Grand Lake St. Mary's, which was built to feed the Erie and Miami canals, and now feeds anglers multiple bass, crappie, and catfish tournaments each year.
