Host Sway Calloway searches for the nation’s next undiscovered hip-hop artist. The eight City Finalists travel to NYC and, after a "Rap for Your Life" lightning round, four contestants will go home while the remaining four contestants move on to compete in a music video competition. From there, three will move on to the finale.

In the final competition in search for the next undiscovered hip hop artist, Sway Calloway hosts the three finalists, who must produce and preform original songs in order to impress judges Mike Smith, King Tech, and Kxng Cooked.
