One Star Rising

In the height of Covid, thousands of teens travel to New Orleans to audition for the One Star Rising Reality Teen Singing Competition. A Top 10 is chosen to be featured castmates.

Teens learn the strengths and weaknesses of their competitors and tensions heat up. Jake Landy give the kids a Master Class in songwriting and the night ends in a costume party.

Producer Marc Mouton judges Round One performances where some elevated their positions, while others crashed and burned and have a mental breakdown.

Hamilton Broadway veterans Carleigh Bettiol and Ryan Vasquez arrive to mentor the teens. Carleigh teaches a Master Dance class to “My Shot,” while Ryan sings “Dear Theodosia”.
