Prince Joldy discovers the iron giant, Galient, which legends say will appear and cleanse the world of darkness. Now the mecha’s pilot, Joldy must fight against the conqueror Mardoul to liberate his kingdom and reclaim his birthright.

The legends were true: Galient appears at long last and turns the tide of battle. Meanwhile, Mardoul entrusts High with a mission of vital importance.

Joldy doesn’t know why Hilmocha kidnapped Churull, but it doesn’t matter. He’ll save her even if it means allying himself with a thief.
