When there is a fire at a town hall of a small village in Shropshire, it’s big news. As the old building blazed into the night – the fire could be seen from miles around – a crowd flocked to see the firefighters at work. A big crowd means lots of witnesses and witness something they did. As the firefighters did their work, some locals reported seeing a young girl in and around the fire. With the flames at a temperature that would burn a normal person from some distance, the girl appeared to show no pain or obvious signs of distress. She was just at a place where she shouldn’t have been.
In august 2000 John Tickner a policeman in the Sussex police air support unit was patrolling Brighton beach in a helicopter for beach fires. On there way back to base the paramedic sees a strange light in their air space. John records the unidentified object/light hovering over the sea and beaches. He went over the footage with his unit and although they had some suggestions as to what it could have been they cannot be 100% certain as to what they had captured on film.
May 2000, local UFO group holds a skywatch near the coast. They get there at 21:00, but by 22:00 they spot not only a UFO but also a police spotter plane circling the object. Micklegate Bar, the imposing main entrance to the ancient city of York. Dating from 1196 it is the place where kings and queens have entered the city for centuries to be greeted by the sheriff, the lord mayor and other local dignitaries. But it has a darker past too, as criminals, traitors to the crown and others all passed through the gates of Micklegate Bar on the way to their deaths. A ghost story in a historic city like York is by no means unusual, but a group of ghost enthusiasts recently dubbed York Europe’s most haunted city. It’s a label that suits the city and it’s a claim that some of the visitors to Micklegate Bar would support…
One of the most well documented modern cases of reincarnation, Jenny Cockell had always been haunted by memories of life as a young irish woman called Mary Sutton who had died 20 years before Cockell was born. After many years spent researching the clues given in her memories, Cockell was finally "reunited" with Mary Sutton's children. Further experiences have caused her to investigate future lives, some as far ahead as the twenty-third century when the world - as she sees it - will be a near-utopia, with a reduced population living in safety and happiness.
In the autumn of 1992 three separate motorists reported knocking down a figure that ran into the path of their vehicle late at night on Blue Bell Hill, Kent (UK). In the two most dramatic encounters, the figure of a young woman had stared calmly into the eyes of the driver as his vehicle struck her. Subsequent police investigations not only failed to find a victim, but no evidence that an accident had occurred, prompting their conclusion that these motorists had probably encountered the famed ghost of Blue Bell Hill.
