Four modern-day pioneers head into the Alaskan wilderness to build dream homesteads. Danny will build his log cabin entirely by hand, and Greg faces stormy seas to get to his island site. Tiffany struggles with early snow, and Jim needs to find his land.

Danny cuts the logs he needs for his cabin but he can't move them to his site. Jim risks catastrophe when he forgets a vital piece of equipment. Greg struggles to find ATV access to his hilltop site. Tiffany fears her son is lost in the bush.

The Alaskan winter pushes the pioneers to the point of no return as a blizzard forces Tiffany to make a life threatening decision. BJ puts himself in harm's way to save Jim's foundation, while Danny stops his build to hunt for much needed food.
