When Xia Ling receives a mysterious notification about a job interview, she follows the instructions to the location and inadvertently enters the spirit realm. Almost immediately, she is attacked by evil spirits but is saved by Cao Yan Bing, a powerful Soul Guardian who notices her extraordinary spiritual energy. Despite the rescue, Xia Ling finds herself targeted by a group of unidentified assassins. Recognizing the danger she faces, Cao Yan Bing decides to protect her. As they navigate the perilous spirit realm together, an unexpected bond forms between them. Adapted from Xu Chen’s comic of the same name, this 2016 Chinese animated series was directed by Lu Heng Yu and Li Shu Jie.
