Red Bull Spotlight

The Red Bull Spotlight finalists get their first mentor session from Dopeadelicz, one of the original crews from Mumbai’s hip-hop scene. Finalists learn how to freestyle and participate in cyphers.

Naezy and Sofia Ashraf conduct a workshop on the art of storytelling to teach the finalists how to effectively incorporate their personal stories into their songwriting process.

The finalists get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in the studio with Sez on the Beat, one of India’s biggest hip-hop producers, and record tracks on some of his on-the-spot productions.

New Delhi’s famous battle rapper MC Kode and Mumbai’s original scenester D’Evil teach the finalists the ruthlessness of battle rap and get them to battle each other in head-to-head competitions.

The finalists get an opportunity to play on their strengths as performers as Brodha V and Dee MC jump in to teach them about stage presence and how to engage an audience during a live performance.

The finalists use everything they’ve learnt to impress judges DIVINE, Emiway Bantai, Naezy and Dee MC. After the final performances, the judges announce the winner of Red Bull Spotlight 2020.
