Reversal Orchestra

City hall employee Hatsune Tanioka (Mugi Kadowaki) is stunned by the hopeless performance of the local Kodama Symphony Orchestra. A former violin prodigy who left the stage ten years ago, she's soon pulled in by newly appointed conductor Asahi Tokiwa (Kei Tanaka), who recruits her into his bold "Tamakyo Transformation Project." ©NIPPON TV

Hatsune (Mugi Kadowaki) joins the Tamakyo Orchestra and, with maestro Asahi (Kei Tanaka), begins a plan to rebuild the struggling group. With a sudden concert set for two weeks later, they start training, but flutist Ao (Ryota Bando) keeps arriving late. Ao (Ryota Bando) begins living with Hatsune (Mugi Kadowaki) as Tamakyo unites for its first concert. Just then, the orchestra's key timpanist suddenly quits. With only four days left, Asahi (Kei Tanaka) sends Hatsune to Tokyo to recruit a crucial player. As she faces anxiety over her first stage in ten years, Asahi pushes her forward. After Hatsune's (Mugi Kadowaki) return performance, Mishima's (Kento Nagayama) whispered greeting leaves her shaken. Asahi (Kei Tanaka) names her soloist for the next concert, but the piece is the one she failed to play ten years ago, sending her into a slump. Meanwhile, violist Midori (Mari Hamada) faces a choice between family and music, prompting Tamakyo to launch a plan to help her. ©NIPPON TV

Kaori (Saki Aibu) suddenly appears, raising questions about her link to Asahi (Kei Tanaka). As Tamakyo prepares for its showdown with Takashina, the members push Hatsune (Mugi Kadowaki) to train for the Tchaikovsky concerto, but she continues to struggle. When they lose their rehearsal space, Asahi opens his family brewery and announces a concert in ten days, leaving everyone stunned. ©NIPPON TV

Ahead of the Valentine Gala, Reo (Kumi Takiuchi) stops coming to rehearsal, and members whisper she was rejected by Asahi (Kei Tanaka). Hatsune (Mugi Kadowaki) and the others visit her, while Motomiya (Kenjiro Tsuda) schemes another disruption. Asahi then brings Fujitani (Kiyohiko Shibukawa) to a place where he sees something startling, and Mishima (Kento Nagayama) provokes Hatsune. ©NIPPON TV
