Ross Kemp: Back on the Frontlines

Whilst out on the ground Ross experiences first hand a new method of fighting the Taliban, "Counter Insurgency". He also goes on a covert and highly dangerous night raid with Whiskey company.

This time Ross is with the Royal Marines. He joins Whiskey Company as they root out the Taliban in a district rife with insurgent activity.

For the first time in all of the tours Ross Kemp has made in this war-torn land, Ross spends time with the American troops on the ground in Afghanistan. He’s been assigned to Kilo Company, of the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

This episode follows Ross on the first ever operation planned and carried out entirely by the Afghan National Army. The operation to secure a route deep into Taliban territory and prevent insurgents from firing rockets.

Ross Kemp first went to Afghanistan in 2007, to try and understand what it was like for the British soldier on the front line.
