After a girl drowns, Det. Vladimir Kovač investigates whether it was accidental or something more. Meanwhile, political wife Olga gets a distressing message about her family—and leaps into action. Police make another shocking discovery.

Stribor teams up with the chief of police and writes another news report that indicates that Kožul might be involved. This helps the police, the public opinion turns in their favor and the more Vladimir investigates the more it looks like Kožul did it.

Questions mount about the validity of Vladimir’s prime suspect, as details about two of the three victims come into focus. Meanwhile, Olga crosses paths with Stribor, a journalist who wants to speak to her about her niece, creating waves with police.

In Kiev, Nikolai finally gets hold of Viktor with the help of Yulia. Yulia has agreed to set a trap after Nikolai told her about Katya’s fate. Vladimir and Stribor investigate Rocco and his company.

When Olga, Stribor and Nikolai arrive with the bag full of money at the fishing cutter, they find the door unlocked and Viktor killed. Nikolai shouts at Olga to run, before he gets shot in the back. Olga and Stribor have to run for their lives.
