Alex and Anna, expecting their first child, decide to move into Alex’s parent's house in the upscale suburb of Solsidan. Alex’s childhood friend, Fredde, lives next door with his trophy wife, Mickan, and their children.

Alex starts to doubt that he’s the father of the baby and suspects Anna had an affair with actor Ola Rapace while she was away on a movie shoot. Fredde gets the barbecue bug and insists that anything can be grilled.

Ove the bore completely flip Alex’s lid. He comes to regret this when his mother asks him to get her into the golf club, where Ove is a member of the board. Meanwhile, Fredde worries about going bald.

Alex runs into Sofie, who was the hottest girl in high school. It makes him think about aging and his own attractiveness. Fredde tells him about the theory that everybody, sooner or later, becomes equally attractive.
