Chiro falls for a girl, but keeps her a secret from the Monkey Team. Later, he learns about trust firsthand when it turns out there's much more to his girlfriend than meets the eye.

Chiro's television heroes, the Sun Riders, show up in Shuggazoom City. Chiro's ecstatic until their motives turn out to be less than heroic.

A former Monkey Team member, a sixth monkey, Mandarin, returns to take over Shuggazoom City and attempts to turn the overconfident Chiro into his apprentice.
