Alana, a 13-year-old girl from the year 3000, is thrown back in time to our "strange and primitive" modern-day world when a time-travel experiment goes wrong. Silverthorn, a fugitive warlord thrown back in time with Alana, steals the time capsule, which is Alana's only hope of returning home. Alana, must battle Silverthorn for control of the capsule or be stranded a thousand years from home.

Alana, a young girl living in the year 3000, is shocked to discover that her guardian Tulista is to be sent back 500 years to test a new time capsule. Tulista tells Alana that she will be gone for 28 days but it will only feel like a few seconds to Alana.

A Primitive and Dangerous Time

Alana awakes in a dirty part of town knowing that she has been sent back in time, but not sure what year she is in. She takes some fruit from a nearby fruit stall, not knowing that she is breaking the law.
