B-Girl Ayumi became fascinated by breaking while she was studying in Canada. Since then she’s gone on to win loads of international competitions, including Red Bull BC One where she competed as the first B-Girl in its history.
Rinka may be the first female Japan Beatbox Champion, but making a living from beatboxing isn’t easy in Japan, so she moved to New York. Rinka shows us around her new life where she busks in the subway and shares a house with fellow beatboxers.
Kyoka, co-founder of the Rushball crew, has been dancing since the age of eight. In 2016 she won Juste Debout, the international dance competition, which, she says, gave her the boost of confidence she needed to take her dancing further.
Mimi is one half of the female duo DFT (Don’t F**king Touch). Their fusion-beat music is a hybrid of genres based around hip-hop. The pair create the entire show from initial ideas through to final production of the music, with video thrown in.
