The Emperor accidentally kills Wang Shik's mother in a car accident. Yu Ra helps him hide the body and create an alibi, while Wang Shik is determined to seek revenge.

Sunny is introduced as the Emperor’s partner at a palace event. Wang Shik survives an attack and is rescued by a villager. The Empress Dowager warns Ms. Min to stay away.

Wang Shik, now Chun Woo Bin, infiltrates the palace as an Imperial Guard. Preparations for the Emperor’s wedding proceed while the Empress Dowager expels Min Yu Ra from the palace.
