The team takes a risky detour through western China and Central Asia, where altitude sickness hits hard; the team reaches Kyrgyzstan and then brace for scares on the infamous Pamir Highway before the Rover limps into Turkmenistan.

The team race their antique car to the finish through the shadow of the old Soviet Union.
