The trilogy De Zaak Menten is based on the true story of journalist Hans Knoop, who tries to discover the truth behind the not yet convicted war criminal Pieter Menten. This case caused a lot of commotion in both the media and politics in the 1970s.

Part 3
Knoop locates Menten's brother Dirk and urges him to reveal the dark secrets he knows. As Menten tries to evade arrest, an international manhunt ensues.
