Tsunashi steels his resolve and decides to begin his training. However, he returns home to a devastaing betray. How will he fight now that he has awakened his true powers.

The "Kingdom of Bones" begins an aerial assault without a moment for Tsunashi to grieve Yui's death. Imbued with knowledge on how to awaken his powers, Tsunashi courageously lures the enemy to himself to give his people a chance to escape.

Two years have passed since the attack on Airikku. We find Tsunashi in Delmere who now makes ends meet gambling his knife juggling skills. Unfortunately, Tsunashi finds himself in a rough situation after making a small fortune off an unsavory fellow. Tsunashi and Appun have a momentary relief from the mechanized infantry, but it is only a matter of time before they are back on the run. Tsunashi asks Appun if the machines have any weakness in addtion to their heads. Appun struggles out of Tsunashi's grip while denying to know anything, but has his clothes torn to reveal a tatoo on his shoulder.

Prospects for defeating the Morbeens seem grim as the two are unable to find any additional weakness. Or so it was until Appun remembers some crucial information on the workings of the machines after Tsunashi mentions "heaven." Things seem to be looking for the better, however they are unaware of their new enemy who lurks close by in the shadows.
