The Special Duties Unit confront new and dangerous challenges including the newly appointed Chief of Police who has his own way of stopping crime.

Shortly after a jewelry shop robbery is reported, Senior Inspector of the Special Duties Unit CHIN HON-TO is summoned to the scene to lead the arrest-cum-rescue operation. TO and his teammates break into the jewelry shop, and are shocked to discover that the interior design is in no way consistent with the floor plan.

TO has arranged a hostage rescue training session for his team, in which LAI is asked to play the role of the hostage, making the lad very unhappy and resentful. WAH and BUN have received intelligence that two notorious mainlanders are going to smuggle into Hong Kong to stage an armed robbery.

SUM is about to flee with YEUNG and CHEUNG, but knowing that his son CHUN PAU is suffering a medical emergency all of a sudden, he insists on paying the child a visit first. SUM, YEUNG and CHEUNG have managed to sneak into the hospital, while WAH has also sent a squad of police to the site and successfully evacuated the premises.

Knowing that the kidnappers have asked for a ransom of a hundred million dollars, LAI decides to call the police, but is stopped by his mother and sister. LAI turns to HIN for help, hoping that the two of them can trace the whereabouts of TONG when YAN is delivering the ransom to the kidnappers.

Members of the Special Duties Unit have accidentally damaged Granny CHEUNG's vegetable field during an outreach training session. Granny CHEUNG needs the team to compensate for her loss, in response to which HIN has left his contact number. WAI comes to YUEN's place saying that she has nowhere to go.

Episode 6
SDU member YIU-CHO introduces kung-fu fanatic CHAN LIK-HANG to TO, without knowing that the guys have actually known each other for years. HANG is going to fight a duel with TO, but is soon distracted when he hears that his father CHAN HING is involved in an argument with gang leader BING KUI at the fruit market.
