    Yamatonokami no Yasusada has manifested as the 17th member of the Sword Warriors in a "certain citadel". On his first morning since coming to the citadel he goes on a walk around the compound with Kashuu Kiyomitsu who shared the same former master, Okita Souji of the Shinsengumi. The Sword Warriors, who enjoy daily life at the citadel with snowball fights and the like, have received word from the history government...

    Doudanuki Masakuni and Tsurumaru Kuninaga have manifested. Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu are showing the two of them around the citadel. Meanwhile, Heshikiri Hasebe, Souza Samonji and Yagen Toushirou, three swords with ties to Oda Nobunaga are given dispatch orders to Honnouji.

    Hirano Toushirou has found a four-leaf clover of good luck underneath the big tree. He intends to give it to Uguisumaru, who has just arrived at the citadel, but while he is on his way he encounters a number of obstacles making his task not so easy. Meanwhile, the Awataguchi tantou's are underneath the big tree thinking about the older brother who has not yet manifested. Knowing their wishes, Yamatonokami Yasusada is thinking of a plan.

    Izuminokami Kanesada has manifested. Horikawa Kunihiro, who is the beloved sword of the same former master of the Shinsengumi, Hijikata Toshizou, is pleased and immediately begins showing him around the citadel. Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu are also happy to be reunited with Izuminokami no Kanesada and they enjoy reminiscing about the Shinsengumi. Meanwhile, the ten thousand leaf cherry tree is in full bloom. The sword warriors enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms underneath the tree but trouble brews when Jiroutachi ends up drunk...

    Episode 5
    Shokudaikiri Mitsutada and Tsurumaru Kuninaga are concerned with helping Ookurikara, who has just manifested, getting acclimated to the citadel. Shokudaikiri Mitsutada comes up with an idea after seeing the actions of Kasen Kanesada, Uguisumaru and the others. Meanwhile, tachi, "Mikazuki Munechika" suddenly manifests in the smithing room. While the Sword Warriors are wrapped up in the joy of one of the Five Great Swords of Japan appearing, dispatch orders come down from Master.

    Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu are preparing to go on expedition in Edo with Yamabushi Kunihiro, Otegine, and Hakata Toushirou, who recently arrived at the citadel. However, just before they go off on their expedition their master has been laid low with a fever. On the advice of Yagen Toushirou, the group adds one more mission to their Edo expedition and heads into the mountains to collect medicinal herbs that can relieve a fever.
