Talented chef Gemma and her paramedic boyfriend Kieran decide to take in a lodger. Enters Ray, a former synchronized swimmer whose arrival commences a modern-day love story that will change the trio's life and how they view relationships.

Gemma, Ray and Kieran try to pretend that nothing happened in the bathroom the night before. Gemma has an uncomfortable conversation with her estranged father. Ray suffers a panic attack. Kieran gets involved in a serious incident at work.
