Verne arrives at his new boarding School in Hamburg for his first day and is horrified to discover that it is filled with all manner of magical beasts and beings! Instantly, Verne is scooped up by Cassy and Gus on their Scootsoomers and taken on a whirlwind tour of the place. Unbeknownst to the boys, Cassy's been doing volunteer work before and after class, helping Dr. Mender, the resident bestial physician, tend to injured enchanted creatures. Cassy discovers she has a real gift for healing. The doc needs the extra help since an inordinate number of enchanted winged creatures have recently fallen from the sky.
