DUX gets news that Nine o'clock is thieving force stone. On the way to go there, Kan encounters Fiddle sibling who were skilled linkers in Nine o'clock. Kan gets angry with their abuse to Kan, and decides to fight against them by himself. Kan defeats their older brother Brust Fiddle because of his arrogance. The other younger sister Linda Fiddle tries to attack exhausted Kan, but gives up by Kan's team DUX arrival.

Brust regrets his lose and plans to trap Kan by fake dispatch requests. Kan, Shibuki and Uranus, 3 members of DUX go to the reported place with awkward-atmosphere because they argued with each other. At the battle, they cannot cooperate and are suffered from Fiddle's trap. By their ZINBA and Yeager's advice, they apologize and beat the Fiddle by cooperation attacks.

Team Dux rescues people who are suffered from rock fall and cannot return to their home. Going into the cave where a victim is incarcerated, by another rock falls, Kan is incarcerated with the victim. The only way to escape from the cave is that Kingstar and Alma have to attack at the same timing and destroy the big rock which closes the exit.Kingstar loses his confidence at first, but finally be able to make an exit by encouragement of Kan.

While chasing Nine o'clock, DUX encounters Shuts on the way. Accepting Shuts' suggestion, Kan decides to fight against him one-on-one. However, Shuts newly links to Frogate in addition his 1st ZINBA. He is strong linker even linking with one ZINBA, so that the 2 ZINBA linker suffers Kan and Kingstar. At the last of the battle Kan enables to produce synthetic force stone, and slightly beats Shuts by their new skill. When their link got deeper, Kan and Kingstar was able to develop their hidden talent.

DUX is asked by a shoal of Fish-ZINBA to clean a shore. Kan becomes good friend with Wiksy who is very a coward.At that time, they got information that Nine o'clock appeared. DUX drives them into border of Tria and Berdorado, but Nine o'clock across the border and escapes. Being surprised, Kan tries to chase, but his leader Yeagar stops because their team is belonging to Tria.

Returning to the principal of Tria, they wonder why Nine o'clock was able to pass the border without any attack from the border guard of Berdorado.Nine o'clock appears, and Kan and Shuts fights again.Kan blames for his meanness that Shuts calls his teammate into the battle, but Shuts told him "A thief should be mean". Shuts even evades Kan's attack at the expense of his teammate. With Shibuki and Uranus reaching, the fight ends with Shuts' escape, but Kan cannot get rid of the frustration.
