When the zombie apocalypse is unleashed in Birmingham, sisters Kat and Jo -- together with unlikely travel companions Sunny and Amar -- must flee for their lives by canal boat.

Kat and Jo want Sunny and Amar off the boat; Jo struggles to track ex-boyfriend Rob; Amar fails to find a car; Kat's gaming idol becomes a zombie.

Back at the hotel where Sunny and Amar were for Gav's stag, the gang must rescue Gav from a zombie stripper; Kat makes Jo guard Dorothy, but she sneaks into the hotel for a shower -- endangering the boat.

Amar and Jo go to the supermarket where Jo used to work; Kat realizes the canal is draining and she needs to get Amar and Jo back; Sunny admits that he is scared of the dark; Jo and Amar are trapped with Chloe.

Jo and Amar sail in convoy, enjoying freedom from Kat's rules; Kat and Sunny are held hostage by an angry boatman; Kat talks to Sunny about their drunken kiss; Zombie Jude attacks Jo's boat but she kills him; the gang is reunited.

The gang is taken to the local evacuation center, but Kat doesn't trust the government; He needs to find Patient Zero, which is Jude, the zombie Jo just killed.
