Harry Ditson

Harry Ditson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Ditson landed roles in various films, including the Dirk Bogarde drama "A Bridge Too Far" (1977), the Glenda Jackson comedic adaptation "Nasty Habits" (1977) and "Birth of the Beatles" (1979). He also appeared in the comedy "Improper Channels" (1979) with Alan Arkin, "Yanks" (1979) with Richard Gere and the Warren Beatty historical romance "Reds" (1981). He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in "Revolution" (1985) with Al Pacino, the Michael Caine comedy "Water" (1986) and the comedy "Perfectly Normal" (1991) with Robbie Coltrane. He also appeared in the romance "Back in the U.S.S.R." (1992) with Frank Whaley. In his more recent career, he continued to act in the Dan Futterman dramedy "Shooting Fish" (1998), "The Legend of 1900" (1999) with Tim Roth and "The Tailor of Panama" (2001). He also appeared in the musical drama "De-Lovely" (2004) with Kevin Kline and the Claire Danes romantic sci-fi "It's All About Love" (2004). Ditson most recently acted in "Woman in Gold" (2015) with Helen Mirren.
