Fatal Addiction: Jim Morrison
Jim Morrison is regarded as one of the most influential frontmen in rock history. His wild personality, poetic lyrics and distinctive voice garnered him hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide. His fame has remained one of popular culture's top rebellious icons, representing the generation gap and youth counterculture. He co-founded The Doors in 1965, the band that went on to sell tons of albums and received widespread critical acclaim. However, the pressure under the spotlight caused his life to fall into a downward spiral. Jim developed an alcohol dependency throughout the band's career, which at times affected his performance on stage. His unpredictable and erratic stage performances were put down to his struggles with addiction. A fatal addiction that would eventually take his life.
