Betsy Brantley

Betsy Brantley was an actress who graced the silver screen many times throughout her Hollywood career. Brantley's earliest roles were in film, including "Shock Treatment" (1981), "Five Days One Summer" (1982) and "Another Country" (1984). She also appeared in the James Fox period drama "New World" (1986), the spy thriller "The Fourth Protocol" (1987) with Michael Caine and "The Princess Bride" (1987) with Cary Elwes. Her film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like "I Come in Peace" (1990) and the Robert Redford drama "Havana" (1990). She also appeared in the TV special "Yesterday/Today" (NBC, 1991-92). In her more recent career, she continued to act in the dramatic adaptation "Washington Square" (1997) with Jennifer Jason Leigh, the Robert Duvall smash hit action movie "Deep Impact" (1998) and the Tommy Lee Jones box office smash action flick "Double Jeopardy" (1999). She also was featured in the TV movie "Dad, the Angel & Me" (Family Channel Studios, 1994-95). Brantley most recently acted in "Angel Doll" (2003). Brantley's husband was Steven Soderbergh.
