Cocoa Brown was an accomplished actress, noted for her comedic timing in her roles for television shows. Brown began her acting career with roles in sitcoms like "Psych" (USA, 2005-2014) and "Frank TV" (TBS, 2007-08). She also acted in various film roles at the time, appearing in "Madea's Family Reunion" (2006) and the Trace Adkins comedy "An American Carol" (2008). She continued to work steadily in sitcoms throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s, appearing on "Victorious" (Nickelodeon, 2009-2013), "2 Broke Girls" (CBS, 2011-) and "Austin & Ally" (Disney, 2011-16). She also appeared in "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (ABC, 2011-13) and "The Soul Man" (TV Land, 2011-). More recently, she tackled roles on "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse" (2011-15), "Partners" (FX, 2013-14) and "K.C. Undercover" (Disney, 2014-). She also appeared in the Nia Long comedic drama "Tyler Perry's The Single Moms Club" (2014). Brown most recently acted in the comedy sequel "Ted 2" (2015) with Mark Wahlberg.
