Twenty years after going into hiding, ex-CIA spy Cornelia Gray is recruited by an operative from the Agency’s Cerberus unit to uncover a mole responsible for high-level intelligence leaks.

Gray suspects Cerberus co-head Christina Gold of espionage; together with recruiter Sara Beckham, she discovers intel identifying a Russian spy possibly responsible for her dad’s death.

When Gray becomes suspicious of another Cerberus co-head, Wendell Abbott, she asks Sara to delve into his personal life and finances, leading Gray into a dangerous confrontation with him.

The third Cerberus co-head, Kevin Tagg, comes into Gray’s sights; before she can do further investigating, she is stabbed and wounded by two Russian agents before being rescued by Sara.

As Gray’s condition worsens, Sara places her in a hospital under an assumed name; meantime, the three Cerberus heads plan to find and neutralize Gray before she can do more investigating.

Gray learns from her contact, Levitsky, where kidnapped engineer Blake Granger may be. Further digging leads Gray to think operative Chase Cornet may be the mole and she torches his house.
