In 1981, the Soviet submarine U137 ran aground in the Karlskrona archipelago; never before had the world been so close to a major global conflict; the entire responsibility fell on Swedish Prime Minister Fälldin.

October 1981, the height of the Cold War; it's a cold night on Soviet submarine U-137 and the crew are keeping warm with a party; one drink leads to another, and the submarine ends up running aground in neutral Sweden on the Karlskrona archipelago.

Hold the Boarder
Prime Minister Thorbjörn Fälldin gathers representatives of the government and military; Commander-in-Chief, Börje Lagercrantz, argues that Sweden is under attack and that the only reasonable course of action is to counter-attack.
EPISODE 3
Quiet Diplomacy
Commander-in-Chief Börje Lagercrantz plans his own initiative to approach the submarine in order to measure for the presence of nuclear weapons.
EPISODE 4
Oh Captain, My Captain
Prime Minister Thorbjörn is visited by the Soviet Ambassador Aleksandra Kosygina; it turns out that their plan to install a radio mast on the submarine has been dashed by the Commander-in-Chief, who happens to have come up with the same plan.
EPISODE 5
Cold War
Prime Minister Thorbjörn visits the naval base in Karlskrona where he comes face-to-face with an unexpected gathering of the international press; Commander-in-Chief Börje is preparing an attack against the submarine using his own elite forces.
EPISODE 6
Home Sweet Home
Prime Minister Thorbjörn holds a press conference where he reveals that the submarine is equipped with nuclear warheads; the prime minister and the Soviet ambassador finally manage to solve the Gordian knot.
