B-17 Ghost Tail

S1, E7: A famous WWII story involves the tail of a B-17 bomber becoming separated from the rest of the fuselage by a German flak attack. With its tail gunner still inside, the story goes that the tail continued to fly like a glider, and the tail gunner continued to fight and survive. Josh and the guys design and build a B-17 with a detachable tail to find out what happens when they recreate a similar scenario on a smaller scale. Stefan tries to keep up with the demanding sponsor workload in the lead-up to Flite Fest.
