Macaulay Culkin stars as Richard Tyler, a frightened, easily bullied, nervous wreck of a kid who's an expert on all the things that can go wrong in the big, scary world... Until the day when Richard takes refuge from a storm inside a mysterious library. There, he merges into the stories within the books held on the shelves ... and he must travel his way through adventures, romances and horror stories to find his way back home in this adventurous blend of live action and animation.
