Flume

Harley Edward Streten was raised in the Northern Beaches neighborhood of Sydney Australia. The son of a record producer and filmmaker father and a schoolteacher mother, Streten began producing music for the first time when he was 13 years old, after discovering a disc with simple production software packaged in a box of cereal. By 2010 Streten was producing music under the name HEDS, and in 2012 he completed his first album, which shot to the top of the charts in Sydney. Streten was signed in 2011 to Australian record company Future Classic. His debut album "Sleepless" was released that year, and he opted to be known as "Flume" going forward, taking the name from a Bon Iver song. In 2012 Streten released an album as Flume called Flume. It received generally positive reviews and contained collaborations with vocalists Moon Holiday, Chet Faker and Jezzabell Doran. In 2016 Flume released his second album. Titled Skin, the album received more praise from critics. The album contained a single called "Never Be Like You" which contained a vocal contribution from Canadian singer Kai. The album also featured a track entitled "Say It" on which Swedish singer Tove Lo appeared, which gained some international pop crossover success.
