Jasmin Savoy Brown

Jasmin Savoy Brown was only four years old when she appeared in her first church musical-but it must have had a great impact. By eight, she was positive that acting was her destiny in life, and she began pursuing it through local youth theater. Born in Alameda, California but growing up largely in Springfield, Oregon, Brown became involved in the Portland Shakespeare Project, Art's Umbrella, Oregon Children's Choir, and Up Start Crow Studios. By 2013, Brown was making her first TV appearance on an episode of the series "Grimm" (NBC, 2011-2017). Next would come supporting roles in projects like the thriller "Forgotten Hero" (2014) as well as a memorable guest appearance on the sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (Fox, 2013-) as "the mole" Ava Watson. In 2016, Brown took on the recurring role of Nina on the mind-bending science fiction crime series "Stitchers" (ABC Family, 2015-), as well as a recurring role as Emilia Bassano on the Shakespearean series "Will" (TNT, 2017-). In 2017, Brown was cast as Puma in the acclaimed drama "Lane 1974," an accomplishment that came on the heels of more good news, when she was asked to join the cast of the landmark series "The Leftovers" (HBO, 2014).
